Although the Town of Jupiter is celebrating its centennial, local history goes back much farther than 1925. Humans have lived in the Loxahatchee River region for more than 5,000 years. LRHS Historian Josh Liller explores Jupiter history including Native Americans, European explorers, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, military activity, and the area’s growth from a small agricultural community to the modern town.
