TOWN OF JUPITER, FLORIDA
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING
In accordance with 24 CFR 91.105(c)(2), Town of Jupiter is required to utilize its Citizen Participation Plan for consolidated plan and annual action plan amendments for Community Development Block Grant funds through the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Town of Jupiter is making a substantial amendment to its Program Year (PY) 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 Annual Actions Plans.
According to 24 CFR 91.505(a), the jurisdiction shall amend its approved Plan whenever it makes one of the following decisions:
(1) To make a change in its allocation priorities or a change in the method of distribution of funds;
(2) To carry out an activity, using funds from any program covered by the consolidated plan (including program income), not previously described in the action plan; or
(3) To change the purpose, scope, location, or beneficiaries of an activity.

This proposed substantial amendment incorporates changes to Program Year 2022-2023 by eliminating the funding ($109,596.30) for North Pennock Lane Drainage Design. The design for the project was completed by Town staff instead of a consultant. For Program Year 2023-2024, North Pennock Lane Drainage construction will be reduced by $1,696.70. Town will be adding a new activity to Program Year 2022-2023. The new activity is for purchase of fire equipment and apparatus for Cinquez Park Fire Station ($111,293).
SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE TO ACTIVITIES IN THE ACTION PLAN
The substantial change requires a 30-day public comment period which will commence Friday, May 2, 2025 and end Monday, June 2, 2025. Citizens are encouraged to review and comment on the proposed amendment during the 30-day comment period to the Town of Jupiter Neighborhood Services at 196 Military Trail, Jupiter FL. The Town Council will meet Tuesday, June 3, 2025 to consider approval of the proposed amendment. The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall- Council Chambers, located at 210 Military Trail, Jupiter FL. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate.
