[ARCHIVED] Public Hearing Notice: Certificate of Appropriateness Matrix and Historic & Archeological ZTA

TO ALL PARTIES IN INTEREST AND TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Please take notice that Public Hearings on the item(s) listed below are scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 210 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida at 7:00 PM on the following dates:

June 17, 2024,     Historic Resources Board (at 6pm)   

July 9, 2024,     Local Planning Agency and Planning and Zoning Commission

August 20, 2024,     Town Council

A. Certificate of Appropriateness Approval Matrix Update - Updating the Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) Matrix referenced in Section 27-2439, entitled “Modifications/development of Historic sites”. 

B. Historic and Archaeologic Preservation Standards Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) - Town initiated zoning text amendment to four sections of Division 19 (Sections 27-2437 to 2439 and 2443) to update Historic Resource Board responsibilities, and amend application requirements of Certificate to Dig applications, notice requirements for Local Historic Designations, and approval requirements for COA applications. 

 *Titles maybe subject to revisions prior to approval.                                           

At such time and place the Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all evidence and arguments in support or in opposition to this item.  Anyone desiring to appeal a decision of the presiding body on matters considered at this meeting or hearing will need a record of the proceedings.  They may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is based.  The Town of Jupiter does not provide such a record.

Please check the Planning and Zoning Commission agenda and the Town Council agenda to verify the hearing dates.  These agendas are typically posted, with supporting documentation, on the Town of Jupiter website a week before the meeting.  They can be found in the left side menu under Agendas & Minutes at www.jupiter.fl.us.
