Jupiter Jubilee Volunteer Information

Thank you in advance for volunteering your time to help make our annual Jupiter Jubilee event a big success! Below you will find information that you will need in order to make your volunteer experience a positive one. We ask that you review everything so that you are clear on what will be expected of you.
Mandatory Packet Pick up
Where: Jupiter Community Center, 200 Military Trail
Packets will include volunteer shirts, parking map, and additional information. It is important that you pick-up your packet on Friday so that they are aware of what will be expected of you and be prepared for the event. Parents/Friends may pick up packets for volunteers.
The Town of Jupiter relies heavily on all volunteers who have signed up to assist at this event. It is imperative that you show up to work
Event Day Parking/Drop Off
If you are being dropped off, please arrange for your driver to get you as close to the Community Center as possible to drop you off. There will be police on site directing traffic into the public parking areas in front of the Community Center. If you are driving and parking at the event, you will need to allow extra time in case all on-site public parking is taken. Please refer to the
All volunteers are required to check in to the Community Center Art Room (Room #113) upon arrival. Please plan to check in at least 15 minutes before your shift starts!

All volunteers will be expected to wear the t-shirts provided in your packet along with appropriate length shorts, pants or jeans (no cut-offs or short shorts please!) and sneakers (NO FLIP-FLOPS). All activities will be outside so it is suggested that if the weather is cool that you wear a long-sleeve t-shirt under your volunteer shirt (rather than a sweatshirt or jacket) so that participants can easily identify all volunteers. Cell Phone Policy
The use of a cell phone while volunteering is strictly prohibited. This includes texting, web browsing and talking. All volunteers are expected to actively supervise and participate in a variety of activities during their assignment. Use of a cell phone during the event time is strictly limited to use during an assigned break or in the event of an emergency. Volunteers should keep their cell phones in a purse, pocket or safe place while on duty. A free public phone is available on site to all volunteers if needed. If a volunteer is found to be in violation of the cell phone policy they may be asked to leave the event, volunteer hours may be forfeited, and future volunteer opportunities may be denied.
Community Service Hours
All volunteers are eligible to earn community service hours for this event. If your school has a required volunteer or community service log, please bring it to the event and present it to a Jubilee staff member in the Children’s Area for signing at the end of your shift.
