2026 Fishing and SHARK-FEST Camps
Fishing and SKARK-FEST camps offer the very best in Fresh and Saltwater fishing adventures. Join us for some exciting times at the Jupiter Community Park lake, and the Jupiter Civic Center right on the beach at Carlin Park. These camps are instructed by Building Up Sports Academy.
Registration Details - Registration begins Thursday, April 2, 2026
All registrations must be completed by 8:30 pm in person or by 11:45 pm online on the Thursday prior to the start of camp.
Online Registration - Strongly Encouraged:
To register online, you will need your Rectrac Household login information. You may log in, retrieve your household information, or create a new account through the online registration site. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Jupiter Community Center at (561) 741-2400, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm or Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
In-Person Registration:
To register in-person, visit the Jupiter Community Center, located at 200 Military Trail, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-8:00 pm.
Payment & Refund Policy:
Full payment is required at registration. All refunds requests must be submitted prior to the first day of camp and are subject to a $10 cancellation fee.
Accommodations:
In accordance with the ADA, all persons with special needs are welcome to register. Please call Pete Doherty, 561-741-2715, at least two weeks prior to camp start date in order to ensure appropriate needs can be accommodated.
Fishing Camp
Fishing Camp, led by instructors from Building Up Sports Academy, introduces participants to a variety of fishing fundamentals, including knot tying, baiting hooks, water safety, and identifying common freshwater and saltwater fish found throughout Florida. All fishing equipment, including rods and bait, will be provided so campers can participate fully in the program. The week concludes with a friendly fishing tournament on the final day, followed by a brief awards presentation to recognize participants. This camp is appropriate for both beginners and those with previous fishing experience. Enrollment is limited due to available equipment. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure a spot and enjoy a fun week learning new skills while practicing responsible catch-and-release fishing.

SHARK-FEST Camp*
Come celebrate Shark-Fest Camp this Summer! Campers will learn about different species of sharks as well as other freshwater and saltwater marine life. Fun and stimulating activities all week include shark dissection, Megalodon lab, fossil dig, sharks and crafts, fishing and more. Campers participating in camp program will gain an understanding of various marine-related topics such as ecology and marine biology, with an emphasis on conservation. Join us for a JAWsome week of shark activities!
Equipment Needed: Hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and a light snack recommended.
*This is a 4-day camp, no camp due to the Juneteenth Holiday on Friday, June 19.
