Summer Camp Update
The goal of the Town of Jupiter Summer Camp programs has always been to ensure a safe, fun and rewarding experience for our campers and staff. For years, parents have placed their trust in the Town and our staff to care for their children while protecting their health and well-being.
After careful and thorough review of current CDC and Health Department guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to consulting with camp professionals across the country, the Town has determined that the limitations specific to summer camps will largely inhibit many of the traditional recreational experiences our campers and parents have come to expect. As a result, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel all Town facilitated summer camp programs including the Youth Day Camp, Sport and Specialty Camps for 2020. This decision was not one that was made lightly as we look forward to the positive energy and enthusiasm that summer camps bring to our Community Center, parks and local school facilities.
Full refunds will be processed over the next week for all parents who have registered children in the Town’s camps. Credits to your RecTrac account for future use will not be available. Please call (561) 741-2400 for more information.
Recreation staff members continue to work towards the return of many of our traditional programs and activities while safely incorporating new guidelines and limitations related to the pandemic. We are hopeful we will be able to bring these programs back into our Community Center and parks as soon as we are safely able to do so. We wish everyone a safe summer and look forward to seeing you soon.
Please continue to stay up to date on the Town’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic by regularly monitoring the Town’s COVID website and following the Town’s social media sites.
