Business Tax Receipts
Special Announcement - One-Time Fee Waiver for BTR Renewals
At its meeting on Tuesday, August 4, the Jupiter Town Council unanimously voted to waive the Business Tax Receipt (BTR) fee for businesses and individuals renewing their Jupiter business licenses for Fiscal Year 2021. The action is intended to provide some financial relief to businesses in light of the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021 renewal period is currently open and runs through September 30. Beginning August 6, individual and business professionals renewing their Jupiter BTR license during the current renewal period will receive a one-time waiver of their renewal fees. This waiver does not apply to new businesses applying for a Jupiter BTR license for the first time.
Individuals and businesses are still required to renew their BTR licenses by September 30, and must complete the renewal process in order to conduct business in Jupiter in Fiscal Year 2021, which starts October 1, 2020. Please follow the renewal instructions to renew your license and take advantage of the one-time fee waiver.
Those individuals and businesses who have already renewed their BTR licenses for 2021 will be issued automatic refunds for any fees paid, and should expect to be refunded within 30 days. No further action is required.
