Riverwalk Ambassadors

Have you ever walked along the Riverwalk and needed some friendly assistance, or had a question? Then you’ll certainly enjoy the benefits of a new program created by the Town’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) last spring.

The Riverwalk Ambassador program was formed to create a group of friendly, knowledgeable volunteers who will provide information and visibility along the Riverwalk.
Riverwalk Ambassador Program Mission:
To promote and increase the public’s awareness, knowledge and enjoyment of the Jupiter Riverwalk corridor.

The program has several goals:
  • To provide a team of well-informed and trained volunteers that can educate the community and enhance the quality and enjoyment of the use of the Riverwalk and surrounding areas.
  • To provide information on the natural and historic assets of the area in and around the Riverwalk corridor.
  • To establish more visibility in an effort to deter potential crime and vandalism.
  • To provide a team that will assist Town and CRA staff in the areas of maintenance, security and other operations.
The first meeting of the Riverwalk Ambassadors took place in March, 2015. Currently there are about 13 members, and even one four-legged Ambassador. Ambassadors provide email and phone updates on issues and activities along the Riverwalk, and meet monthly as a group for training and information sharing. If you’re out on the Riverwalk, you’ll be able to identify Ambassadors by their shirts or hats, so thank them for their service!
