The Jupiter Police Department proudly maintains its status as a dual accredited agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) and the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc. (CFA).
Recognition as an accredited agency holds the status of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism both internally and externally. The accreditation process requires an in-depth review of every aspect of the agency’s organization, management, operations, and administration. Accreditation also increases a law enforcement agencies ability to prevent and control crime through more effective and efficient delivery of law enforcement services to the community it serves.
CALEA

The Jupiter Police Department first achieved CALEA accredited status in 2004 and has subsequently been reaccredited in 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2020. In addition to achieving International accreditation, the agency is recognized as a Gold Standard and Meritorious law enforcement agency through CALEA.
CFA

The Jupiter Police Department first achieved CFA accredited status in 2000 and has subsequently been reaccredited in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and 2022. In addition to achieving State accreditation, the agency is recognized as an Excelsior law enforcement agency through CFA.
