"Born in the sunshine state and raised in the sandy shores of South Florida, my artistic journey is deeply rooted in my life-long connection with the ocean and its magnificent wildlife. I often draw inspiration from my career as a biologist and my adventures under the sea in my free time. With a lifelong passion for both art and science, I experiment merging the two capturing seascapes, wildlife portraits, and abstract paintings. I love to experiment with vibrant colors, fluid techniques, and different textures and finish." |
"After growing up along the Loxahatchee River during the 60s and 70s, I painted the natural world that I knew and then showed in galleries while attending university. My art grew as I moved around the country to include different genres, mediums and styles - photorealism, abstract, and murals." |
These are the fleeting images I capture before they are swept away and forever changed. Each photographic artwork becomes an abstract palette of nature's reflections and play of light." |
Creating art allows me to step out of the chaos of life and let my soul breathe. I use traditional techniques with oils, acrylics, pen and ink and graphite to express feelings of contentment, nostalgia, and joie de vivre. By sharing simple, relatable moments expressed in my art, I invite viewers into a joyful respite, a balm for life’s hardships." |
"Years ago I made my living as a full time artist, creating tropical artwork, participating in Florida outdoor art shows and licensing artwork to various reproduction companies. Then life got in the way, there were bills to pay and I had to get “a real job”. For 20 plus years I worked behind a desk instead of an easel. I enjoyed it but with a degree in Fine Art, making PowerPoint charts was not my idea of being creative. Now that I have retired, I have gotten back in touch with my creative self. For the past several years I have been creating , doing shows again, teaching art classes and enjoying my life." |

I seeks to capture the energy of life with vibrant contrasting colors and provocative compositions. The creative process of each painting becomes a path in my journey of self-discovery. I create art to heal and enhance the well-being of others and myself. My creativity became the declaration of independence while transitioning to being a single mother of two and the source of inspiration for my children." |

"Art has always been my passion but never came before the beautiful 5 children that are my joy. I’m a native of Jupiter, Florida, having attended Jupiter Elementary, Middle and High School. I have now, resided in Palm Beach Gardens for over 25 years. I love Florida and it’s deep history and lush landscapes, but I especially appreciate the people; both those early settlers that carved a life in this diverse state and those who now call this their home. I've always had a desire to be an artist, but never the knowledge or confidence to dive in. In 2016, I put my foot on the gas pedal and connected to the art community, bravely started painting plein air (in front of strangers!), ruined a lot of paintings, and learned, learned, learned (that never stops). I am always excited to meet a new artist, patron, or anyone interested in a talking art. And what I've discovered so far: "Artists and art-lovers are really nice people to hang out with!". So, I'm on the road, and I hope to travel this journey with you." |

Inspired to paint at a very young age Kris Davis grew up outside of Chicago and got her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She later moved to South Florida where she is currently painting and teaching art. Kris had success with her Florida landscape series but was looking to challenge herself with a more unique subject matter. With a deep love and appreciation for nature, Kris' oil paintings depict the beautiful water we are surrounded by here in our tropical paradise. Her water series captures the play between water and light. Her figures float above and below the surface and remind us of that wonderful weightless and freeing feeling of being in water. Kris is an award-winning artist and has displayed her paintings in various juried shows and galleries throughout Florida and the US. |

The magnificence of water has always been my inspiration in paintings...whether a splash, a wave, sea foam, bubbles and rain.. I’ve been painting these scenes for over 20 years in oils and acrylics...always large canvases. The two paintings displayed at Jupiter Town Hall have resin applied to enhance the shine of the water. Unique clay sculptures have also been a passion for me. Before painting, I sang with Greater Miami Opera and the Palm Beach Opera company as a mezzo-soprano. |
"I grew up in south Florida and Jupiter has been my home for 30 years. It is easy for me to be inspired by our beautiful beaches, sunrises and sunsets, as well as our abundant palm trees and flowers. I spend most of my time in Florida, but I also spend time in the mountains of North Carolina, where I live part time throughout the year. I love the creativity that I get from both places. I paint mostly abstracts with acrylics and alcohol inks, however, I also enjoy creating mixed media art as well. I especially love creating collages with different types of paper." |
"As an Art Educator for 41 years I experienced all types of media. My passion was always painting, however, wanting to grow, I delved into photography. With my images I hope to capture the wonder and beauty of nature, particularly water forms. My objective is to achieve in the viewers the feeling that they are there with me, and to add a little something to make them wonder. With my pieces for the Jupiter Town Hall, my goal was to portray the family friendly and coastal aspects of this unique Florida town." |
"I love to paint and I paint where I am. I have lived in Tequesta, Florida for over 40 years and that is why my paintings speak to the place. I began my art career as a potter and loved creating with clay for years, but after discovering paint, it was love at first sight. Having studied with many fine professional artists, I have learned so many valuable lessons in order to produce my own work. My paintings are in private collections all over the country." |
| Carol graduated in 1977 from Kutztown State University, in Pennsylvania, with a BS in Art Education. She taught art in elementary school in her home state of New Jersey before moving to Jupiter, Florida in '89, for "fun in the sun" with her husband and 2 sons. She achieved her Florida certificate and taught art in the public schools locally until her "retirement" in 2001. Carol devoted those years to her family, teaching and volunteering in numerous organizations. In 2009, the Village Art Studios of Tequesta was founded by Julie Beaumont,, and Carol became one of a handful of the Co-Op artists that has been there ever since. This was the beginning of finally growing herself as an artist, studying with renown artists, and exploring ways to express the beauty of God's creation. "Capturing light and color is a challenge and a joy. When you are doing something you love, there is never a bad day at the office! " |
"My philosophy on art and life is the same," she explains. "Do something are passionate about, and create joy and peace for yourself and those around you. This is what I strive for in my life and in every work of art I create." |
"Art is about experimentation, but not wild and untamed experimentation. It’s more of a scientific endeavor or a systematic process of discovery. Each painting is not only an experimental journey into the physical materials but it is also a study of how the finished product creates certain feelings within the observer. " Victor DiPilato is an emerging artist who resides in South Florida (Jupiter). His painting style ranges from photorealism to abstraction. His unique abstract painting style is called fractured expressionism where the paintings take on a broken or shattered effect that is often incorporated into the theme of the painting. Victor studied Psychology and Biomedical Science, and worked as a Chemistry teacher while teaching himself to paint in oils. |
"It all started with a Minolta SRT 101, some film, and a lot of patience. I grew-up in Tequesta, Florida and currently reside in Palm Beach Gardens. Self-taught, photography has been part of my life from a young age. Give The Sunrise commemorates each day and is an opportunity to share the magic I see through my lens each morning. 2020 changed all of us. To stay grounded, I decided to photograph the sunrise every morning. What began as a personal practice grew into a following online. It turns out, we all needed connection to something bigger than ourselves. The sunrise is a daily rebirth, an illumination of all that lies ahead. The sunrise gives us hope after heartbreak, and light after dark." |

Creating ART has always been pure joy for me. Whether it’s sketching whatever inspires me, writing poetry and song lyrics, painting gorgeous landscapes, or singing beautiful music…I’m in! I stumbled upon some paintings my grandmother had done that were incredible and paintings that my uncle did that were just as stunning. So, I decided to take an Art class and discovered pen & ink with a water color wash-which became my go-to way to express my art. Mainly drawing TREES, I experimented with painting landscapes and sketching portraits throughout high school. Jupiter is one of the most beautiful places on earth and the landscapes that are at our fingertips are inspirational! If I just painted white beaches, statuesque palm trees and turquoise waters the rest of my life, I’d be happy. |
