Law Enforcement Officers put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of all the citizens they serve. These officers serve their community with valor and distinction and with great success. However, that protection comes at a price.
According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial website, each year there are approximately 60,000 assaults on law enforcement officers, resulting in nearly 16,000 injuries. Sadly, over the last decade, an average of 160 officers a year have been killed in the line of duty. Throughout U.S. history, over 21,000 law enforcement officers have made the ultimate sacrifice.
We invite you to learn more about our heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting the Town of Jupiter. Please join us in respecting, honoring and remembering them.
