Jupiter Senior Softball League

If you love softball and are 55 and over join the Jupiter Senior Softball League (Jan-Mar) and pick up games (Apr-Dec).  The league is fun, full of competition, camaraderie and the spirit of the game.  With 180+ members, JSSA can be found every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Jupiter Community (3355 Church Street) Park from 8:30-11:30 am throughout the year.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi, as it is practiced in the west today, can perhaps be thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. Tai Chi Yang Style, has 65 forms which consist of a sequence of movements which are performed slowly, softly and gracefully. It can help to improve one’s balance, concentration and calmness. *Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.

Functional Fitness

Functional fitness is a type of strength training class that trains the body for real life movement and activities. This class incorporates range of motion, flexibility, strength and balance movements. By mirroring the movements of your daily life, like squatting, reaching, twisting, and lifting, it will increase your quality of life and reduce your risk of injury. Designed for all levels-ages 55 and over. Modifications will be offered. Bring your own weights and exercise mat.

Painting for Fun

Explore and Develop your artistic ability. A fun class to learn how to paint your masterpiece. Bring your own art supplies for what you want to work on.

Chair Yoga

Calm your mind, increase flexibility and improve your strength and balance without the need to get down on the floor. Flow through range of motion exercises sitting in a chair or standing using a chair for support. Class ends with a period of meditation.

Adult Self Defense

Through the study of Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate, learn and develop: Confidence, Reaction Training, Fitness and Weight control, and flexibility. Instructors: Kevin Fruge’ (2nd degree black belt), Howard Freedland (2nd degree black belt)

Twilight Yoga at the Light

Experience the serenity of Yoga with Mary Veal on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset every Monday. Stay fit and calm the mind in this all-levels class where beginners are welcomed and encouraged! Bring a yoga mat & water bottle. Mats will be 6’ apart or more. Meet at the Museum 10 minutes prior to start time and Yogis must sign waiver. Twilight Yoga is weather dependent, and yogis will be notified prior to any cancellation. See our website for more details and tickets. Cost: $10 per person-limited spaces available.
