As women age, muscle tissue is lost, increasing the tendency to develop fat. This class will help to re-define and firm muscles by using hand weights, balls, bands, and the ballet barre to sculpt the whole body, increase balance, and build bone density to prevent osteoporosis. Class includes interval training to provide quicker weight loss and concludes with stretching exercises to keep you flexible making muscles less prone to injury. Bring an exercise mat and weights to class.

Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is fun and easy to do. Zumba is not only good for the body but also great for the mind.

Classical ballet technique for the young child including learning dance steps and choreography.

Stretches at the barre, some center dance choreography, mat work including Pilates and core strengthening

Tap dancing is a form of dance in which the feet create rhythmic sounds. Have fun and a great work out with both of these fun and energetic classes. Get ready to have fun! This will be a basic adult tap dancing class with fun music and simple steps that anyone can learn.

This is a 2.5 hour CPR/AED American Heart Association certification course that teaches the techniques of adult, child infant CPR. This course also instructs how to respond to a choking adult, child or infant. Participants will also learn how to recognize the signs & symptoms of a heart attack & stroke. Additional elements can be added to this course to satisfy healthcare worker requirements. These stress-free trainings are provided using state of the art equipment in a hands-on environment. Join the River Center inside in our classroom for our weekly Story time! Gather around as we read various stories and provide an up-close encounter with one of our resident animal ambassadors. Children ages 0-6 are welcome to attend. This is a free program and no RSVP is required. We hope to see you there!
