  1. Couch to 5K Training

    March 28, 2020, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM @ Jupiter Medical Center Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center

    Healthier Jupiter, in partnership with the Town of Jupiter’s Recreation Department, and Jupiter Medical Center’s Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center, will be offering our 3rd annual free 9-week Couch to 5K Training Program to help individuals gradually increase their physical activity levels enough to walk or run a 5K (3.1 miles). You will receive encouragement and training guidance from Jupiter Medical Center trainers and be supported by other participants along the way. This program is great way to ease your way into a healthier lifestyle and get ready for that 5K you have always wanted to run! Open to all physical activity levels and ages. When: The 9-week Couch to 5K Training Program will have meet ups 8AM every Saturday morning from February 22nd - April 18th. This program trains for the Town of Jupiter’s Turtle Trot 5K on May 2nd at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. If you participate in the Couch to 5K Training Program, you get a coupon code.

    The Wild Dolphin Project, a nonprofit scientific research organization studying the behavior and communication of the Atlantic spotted dolphins in the wild, presents their third annual signature event, Wild Ocean Science. This year’s unique event will feature legendary oceanographer, Dr. Sylvia Earle and will be hosted by PBS NewsHour Journalist, Miles O’Brien. Research Director and Founder of The Wild Dolphin Project, Dr. Denise Herzing, will provide exciting project updates of WDP’s latest research methods, Cutting edge technology, and report on the overall health of the Community of dolphins she has been studying for over 35 years. Dr. Herzing will also be signing books and be available for photos.
