  1. Couch to 5K Training

    February 29, 2020, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM @ Jupiter Medical Center Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center

    Healthier Jupiter, in partnership with the Town of Jupiter’s Recreation Department, and Jupiter Medical Center’s Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center, will be offering our 3rd annual free 9-week Couch to 5K Training Program to help individuals gradually increase their physical activity levels enough to walk or run a 5K (3.1 miles). You will receive encouragement and training guidance from Jupiter Medical Center trainers and be supported by other participants along the way. This program is great way to ease your way into a healthier lifestyle and get ready for that 5K you have always wanted to run! Open to all physical activity levels and ages. When: The 9-week Couch to 5K Training Program will have meet ups 8AM every Saturday morning from February 22nd - April 18th. This program trains for the Town of Jupiter’s Turtle Trot 5K on May 2nd at Ocean Cay Park in Jupiter. If you participate in the Couch to 5K Training Program, you get a coupon code.

  2. Atala Butterfly Festival & Family Day

    Flutter on over to the River Center’s first Atala Butterfly Festival and Family Day! On Saturday, Feb. 29th we are celebrating the Atala butterfly! Once thought to be extinct, this beautiful butterfly is local and thriving right in our own backyards. Join us for our exciting event which will include: -Butterfly arts and crafts -Native Plant seed harvesting -Native Plant Sale -Tours of the River Center migratory bird and butterfly garden -Three different lectures all about the Atala, of course, and native butterfly plants.
