  2. AWSN Bell Choir

    August 10, 2018, 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM @ Jupiter Community Center

    Jupiter’s first handbell choir engaging out-of-school special needs adults starts with a Summer session in which music therapist Julie Bloch will teach tone chimes. This session, developed by special needs parents Donna Maheady and Vicki Silver, will show other families and supporters how playing music can teach hands-on learners teamwork, social interaction and communication skills.

    Jupiter Library, Free, but limited space – RSVP with library Description: Vince “Trapper” Nelson came to Jupiter in the early 1930s and soon established a permanent camp on the upper Loxahatchee River. Trapper’s Zoo & Jungle Gardens became a local tourist attraction, drawing visitors to picnic, see wild animals, and meet the man likened to a modern Tarzan. For the 50th anniversary of his mysterious death, join Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum Historian Josh Liller to learn more about one of Jupiter’s legendary characters.
