Classes / Seminars

  1. Boating Safely Class

    October 27, 2018, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Loxahatchee River Center

    The River Center continues to collaborate with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safely Classes targeted specifically to young boaters in our community. These classes are provided through a generous sponsorship by the AustinBlu Foundation, a not-for-profit dedicated to raising awareness and promoting educational programs to improve boater safety. There is no cost for this class, however there is a deposit required to reserve a seat. The deposit of $10 will be refunded in full to all students who complete the class. Recommended for children 12 years and up.

  2. Cinquez Park Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

    October 27, 2018, 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM @ Cinquez Park

    The official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Town of Jupiter's newest park. Cinquez Park & Dog Park Saturday, October 27th, 2018 Ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 am Dogs on leash are welcome to attend! We will be having a dog costume contest following the ceremony.

  3. Historic Battlefield Tours

    October 27, 2018, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park

    Come experience the Second Seminole War on the actual Battle grounds of the 1838 Battle of the Loxahatchee. Come with an open mind and be amazed at this incredible historic event that took place right here in our town! ? Our Mission to protect and safeguard the Loxahatchee Battlefield Park located in Jupiter, Florida, along with the 6,000-year-old prehistoric Native American occupation area contained herein. We come to educate the community and bring history alive!

  4. Halloween Skate Contest

    October 27, 2018, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Jupiter Skate Park

    Registration will be onsite at Skate Park, just prior to event, from 5-6 PM. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 places in each age division. Costumes are encouraged. Participants cannot wear masks and you must be able to wear a helmet. Event is contingent upon good weather. For more information please contact the Skate Park at (561) 630-5684.

  5. Florida Films Under the Stars: The Gullah Geechee Corridor & the East Coast Greenways

    October 27, 2018, 6:30 PM @ Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Museum

    A new documentary explores exciting historical and natural heritage trails important to all Floridians. The film highlights 3 cycling trails which are: Rails to Trails, SEA Island Loop and the East Coast Greenways. The film also, highlights the rich area of Armstrong which was settled by West Africans, known as Gullah Geechee, after the Civil War. The film interviews City Commissioners, State Representatives & Senators, Florida State Park staff, Florida DOT, and others involved in the projects. The film will be shown outdoors at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum and will be introduced by Derek Boyd Hankerson, Film Writer, Producer and Gullah Geechee descendent. Free to the public, bring a beach chair. Drinks and snacks for sale. Seating is limited.
