A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), will arrive November 18, 2019 to examine all aspects of the Jupiter Police Department’s policy and procedures, operations, and support services.
Verification by the team that the Jupiter Police Department meets the Commission's state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to obtain reaccreditation - a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency personnel and members of the community are invited to offer comments about the agency at a public information session on Tuesday, November 19th at 5:30 p.m. The session will be conducted at the Jupiter Police Department located at 210 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458.
If for some reason an individual cannot speak at the public information session, but would like to provide comments to the assessment team, he/she may do so by telephone. The public may call 561-741-2242 on Tuesday, November 19th between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Comments and questions will be taken by the assessment team.
