Public Hearing Notice: Zoning Text Amendment for Abacoa Town Center

Please take notice that Public Hearings on the items listed below are scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 210 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida at 7:00 PM on the following dates:

Zoning Text Amendment for Abacoa Town Center – Zoning text amendment to:

  • The Town Center Subdistrict of the Mixed Use Zoning District, Section 27-1110, entitled “Town Center Subdistrict (TC)”, to increase the density from 16 to 20 units per acre and reduce the commercial core requirement of Town Center Subdistrict from 30 to 25 percent; and,
  • Section 27-3192, entitled “Workforce housing requirements”, to require additional workforce housing units within the Town Center Subdistrict of the Mixed Use Zoning District when requesting greater than 16 units per acre.

At such times and place the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Town Council are scheduled to hear all evidence and arguments in support or in opposition to this item.  Anyone desiring to appeal a decision of the presiding body on matters considered at this meeting or hearing will need a record of the proceedings.  They may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is based.  The Town of Jupiter does not provide such a record.
