About The Game

Mah Jongg means "the game of the sparrows" or "Sparrow tiles" in Chinese. Mah jongg is a traditional Chinese tile game, played by four people around a square table. The game is effectively the same as the card game Rummy however it is played with tiles rather than playing cards. For what appears to be a very complicated game, Mah Jongg is really simple when reduced to its basics and it is only the accompanying rituals and complex scoring that change this. The aim is to be the first player to get a complete hand-four sets of three and a pair.
