- Never allow children to handle fireworks
- Never use fireworks while impaired
- Never hold lighted fireworks in your hand
- Use a clear and open outdoor space for fireworks
- Never point or throw fireworks at a person or animal
- Only light one firework at a time
- Maintain a safe distance after lighting a firework
- Never ignite fireworks in a container
- Do not try to relight malfunctioning fireworks
