Jupiter Industrial & Commercial Areas Revitalization
Jupiter is often thought of as a primarily residential community, but nestled among its beautiful neighborhoods are several active, vibrant industrial and commercial areas. This ecosystem of commerce and daily life provides important income for local business owners and their employees, and access to vital products and services for residents throughout the Town.
Town Council has identified the preservation and revival of these industrial and commercial areas as a priority in their strategic plan. With business and resident input, Council's aim is to implement strategies and plans that encourage this revitalization while balancing the needs of businesses with the quality of life in surrounding residential neighborhoods.
The first area being studied is one of the oldest service areas in the Town, the Pine Gardens North Industrial and Commercial area, bounded to the south by Hibiscus Street, east Old Dixie, west Hepburn, and north Banyan, which has recently been reconnected with the Center Park self storage project. The initial phase of the study involves gathering input through a survey of business owners and operators in the area on strategies and plans that encourage revitalization while balancing the needs of businesses and the quality of life of surrounding residential neighborhoods. Following the initial survey with businesses, a survey of residents' inputs will be conducted as well.
