2021 Specialty Camp Information

Specialty Camp registration has begun and will continue until camps are full.
Registration for specialty camps will take place on RecTrac.  

Fishing Camp
Fishing Camp is instructed by Building Up Sports Academy at the lake at Jupiter Community Park.  Fishing Camp offers campers the opportunity to learn to tie different knots, bait a hook, water safety and to identify different fish common in Florida.  Common fish caught and released include largemouth bass, bluegill, cichlid, catfish, and tilapia.  Every camper will receive their own rod and reel along with a t-shirt, daily prizes, and an awards ceremony to conclude the week.  Join the camp for a great week and chance to catch a trophy fish!

Surf and Skateboarding Camps - “Camp Shred”
Surf and Skateboarding Camps, also known as “Camp Shred”, are interactive, outdoor camps instructed by Locals Surf Shop that offer campers the opportunity to develop skills in each action sport.

Skateboarding Camp
Skateboarding Camp takes place at the Jupiter Skate Park located in Abacoa Community Park and will include activities such as evaluation, development and enhancement of skills, drills, and free skate all supervised by staff members from Locals Surf Shop. Equipment Needed: A skateboard, helmet, and water bottle are required. Knee & elbow pads are recommended.

Surf Camp
Surf Camp takes place at the Jupiter Civic Center located in Carlin Park on the beach.  The instructors from Locals Surf Shop will teach campers about ocean awareness, surfing techniques that range from beginner to advanced, surf etiquette, and wave selection while ensuring safety and providing a fun environment.  In addition to surfing, campers may have the opportunity to swim, snorkel, fish, and enjoy the beach environment.  Equipment Needed:  Sunscreen, rashguard, and plenty of water and snacks are needed.
