The Internal Affairs Unit is responsible for overseeing all, Internal Affairs Investigations and Administrative Inquires, as well as the maintenance of those records.
To maintain the public confidence, all complaints must be thoroughly and impartially investigated. Internal Affairs operates as the investigative arm of the Chief of Police to identify and review employee behavior that would tend to discredit the Department. Internal Affairs also reviews all complaint investigations for consistency and fairness. Complaints are adjudicated to the appropriate disposition with consideration to the public trust, the complainant, the Department, and the individual employee.
