Dear Neighbors:

The Jupiter Police Department is extremely proud of our community partnerships and collaborative relationships. We value the expertise and energy that many of our volunteers and partners contribute to help us continue to enhance our safety and quality of life here in Jupiter. To that end, I am excited to announce our newest partnership with the Town’s Neighborhood Services Team and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBSA). The members of this important team will dedicate themselves to providing services for middle school age children who are in need of the support and mentoring that comes from a relationship like those of a volunteer big brother or sister. Ultimately, we hope to influence their educational success while building life skills designed to strengthen developmental assets in our young people. The success of this program will depend on the community support we receive from people like you.
If you are interested in helping, or learning more about Big Brothers Big Sisters, please visit their website at www.bbbs.org.
On a separate note, each year, the Jupiter Police Department recognizes our police officers, civilians and community members for their outstanding service to the agency and/or community. During our Annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony, awards will be given for Bravery, Life Saving, Community Involvement as well as many other recognized accomplishments. I would like to invited you to attend our ceremony which will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in the Jupiter Community Center, 200 Military Trail, Jupiter.
As always, I would like to remind you that we can’t do it alone, we need your help. Remember to lock it, report suspicious activities and get involved in our community. I look forward to seeing you around town.
Sincerely,
Frank J. Kitzerow
Chief of Police
