Use this link to access software to create a new business tax registration, to renew and to update existing Business Registrations. If you are an existing customer and have your username & temporary password, this is where you will login.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve issues with the new online system, and using this form may help us to more quickly address account and renewal issues you are having.

Business Tax Receipt's (BTR) primary function is to register businesses and professionals physically located or doing business within the Town of Jupiter corporate limits.

A Business Tax Receipt is an annual tax collected by the Town of Jupiter from all businesses located in the Town or doing business within the Town of Jupiter city limits.  

Licensing year is October 1st - September 30th. Required documentation and fees vary.

Current BTR Customers:
You should have received an email with instructions to access the new Jupiter Community Development System (JCDS).  This email was sent to the primary address on file and included instructions on how to access the new system.  If you did not receive this initial e-mail please e-mail the BTR office to have it emailed to you.  **Please note that out of town contractors will apply with the Building Division at the same time they apply for a permit.  You are no longer required to register an OUT OF TOWN contractor with Business Tax Receipts.

First time access to this new system it is a two step process.  First, you must create your account, or sign in with login information provided by the Town of Jupiter Business Tax Registration Division.  If you are first time user your account will be submitted for approval.  The approval process may take anywhere from 24-48 hours.  Once you have been approved for your account, (you will receive an e-mail), you can then begin to submit a request for a business tax receipt.  For additional renewal information, please visit BTR Renewals webpage.

New BTR Customers: 
A Business Tax Receipt (BTR) must be obtained BEFORE any business operates or engages in any type of business, occupation or profession.

To apply for a Business Tax Receipt, new businesses and licensees must create an account through the Jupiter Community Development System (JCDS).  Please visit New Business Registrations for JCDS access instructions.

*In January 2007, the Florida Legislature changed the name of "Occupational Licenses" to Local Business Tax Receipts. The local business tax receipt is a separate tax assessed to businesses within/or doing business within the Town of Jupiter in addition to any state or county license fees that may apply.
