Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Code Compliance Division to work in partnership with residents and businesses to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment; to uniformly enforce and provide consistency in interpretations of the Town Code; to disseminate information and educational programs which improve the standards of the community; and to protect and enhance property values and help safeguard the quality of life within the Town of Jupiter. 

Division Responsibilities
Code Compliance responds to complaints from citizens, peer groups, internal divisions and other agencies. Routine inspections are performed throughout the town in an effort to keep developing situations from becoming worse, and both proactive and reactive actions are involved.

The Code Compliance Division of the Police Department currently employs a supervisor, a secretary, and five compliance officers who conduct approximately 3500 initial inspections per fiscal year that result in new violation cases. Subsequent follow-up inspections average approximately 100 per officer per week, or over 5000 reinspections per officer per year.

The principal areas of responsibility for Code Compliance relate to maintenance of property, minimum housing standards, occupancy overcrowding, zoning violations, overgrown lots or yards, inoperative vehicles, illegal signs, convenience store safety inspections, and other issues which affect the quality of life within the boundaries of the Town.
