Ever increasing demands for information access has caused dramatic changes in its basic approach to information technologies.
In the past, Information Technology (IT) was largely driven by a Department centric prospective. Empowered employees have made it clear that a customer centric approach would be better suited for the delivery of information and the IT required at each customer site.
Goals and Objectives

Goals:
  • To lead in information management solutions that enable Martin County's government to work smarter - leadership;

  • To provide an integrated computing architecture which provides efficient and productive information tools for the county to conduct is business - integration;

  • To deliver "world-class" services to the operating departments of the Board of County Commissioners and to the other organizations it supports - service;

  • To make government information more available, accessible and affordable - access; and

  • To build enduring partnerships with public organizations and respond quickly to changing business needs - partnership;

    • To improve service levels;

    • To minimize the cost of computing and information management;

    • To transform business practices to capture the benefits of automation;

    • To maintain Professional skills and disciplines to insure the highest quality.
