Important Information for Parents

  • All participants at the skate park under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent's signature on the registration form and release of liability. These forms must be filled out in person at the skate park when purchasing individual sessions or at the Jupiter Community Center when purchasing a membership. Skaters who are dropped off at the skate park or who skate to the park who do not have this information on file will not be allowed to enter the park to skate until such forms are completed. Skate Park staff are not permitted to give forms to kids to take home for a parent to complete. Parent's must complete these forms in person! Parent's of other children are not permitted to complete these forms for another child.
  • If you plan to "drop off" a group of skaters at the park, it is imperative that you check to make sure there is enough space in the park prior to leaving. There is a capacity of 50 skaters per session and if your child or group cannot be accommodated, they will not be permitted to enter the park. The Skate Park staff cannot be responsible for the supervision of skaters outside the actual skate park area. For safety reasons, skating is not permitted in the parking lot. Therefore, do not leave until you know your child and/or group has entered the skate park gates.
  • The skate park was designed for skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers. If your child does not participate in these sports and asks to get dropped off at the park to "hang out," please keep in mind that there is not a location to "hang out" at the park. Once again, Skate Park staff are not responsible for the supervision of kids outside the skate park area. South Jupiter Community Park is also equipped with basketball courts, racquetball courts and tennis courts. Areas outside of the actual skate park ARE NOT SUPERVISED.
  • Session times will be strictly adhered to. It is suggested that you bring your children to the skate park approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of a new session. Space in the park is first come, first serve. Semi-annual and Annual Membership passes do not guarantee entrance into the park. Once the maximum capacity is met, skaters will not be allowed to enter the park until someone from inside the park leaves.
  • If your child has never skated before, please be sure to practice with them on a flat surface prior to their participation at the skate park. While the park was designed for skaters from beginner through advanced, it is a good idea to ensure that your child has some basic knowledge before allowing them into the park.
  • The skate park will draw skaters from all levels and age groups. To ensure safety of the youngest group of skaters, those under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or adult while in the park. There is a designated viewing area at the park for parents to watch their kids skate.
  • All skaters will be required to wear safety equipment at all times while skating. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Just like every other sport, there are bound to be accidents and injuries while your child skates. The Skate Park staff are trained in basic first aid and will administer it as needed. For injuries beyond the scope of basic first aid, staff will call 911 for EMS assistance. Safety is our number one priority at the skate park and we will not hesitate to call for assistance should your child show signs of a serious injury.
  • Restrooms are located on the premises of the skate park
  • There are no lockers or storage space available at the skate park; skaters are responsible for thir own belongings while at the park.
  • Vending machines are on site to provide beverages only ($1.25-$1.50). Snacks will be available only when JTAA roller hockey is on site and operating the concession stand. Otherwise, snacks are not available at the park.
Please contact the Recreation Division at 741-2400 with any questions or concerns regarding the information you see listed above.
