Wendy Harrison has served on the Jupiter Town Council since March, 2007. She is a native Floridian and an Abacoa resident who wants to protect Jupiter’s sense of community and small-town feeling.
Before running for Town Council, Wendy served as Vice-Chair of the Town’s Historic Resources Board, on the Steering Committee for the 2004 “Keep Jupiter Green” Open Space Referendum, and on PTO and SAC committees for Lighthouse, Beacon Cove and Independence Middle Schools.
Ms. Harrison received a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Bryn Mawr College and a Master’s Degree in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked for more than 12 years in local government management, with her last full-time position as Solid Waste Director for Martin County. She also worked for the Village of Tequesta and the Town of Jupiter.
She and her husband Peter have been married for 20 years and have two children, Charlotte and Jonathan, who attend local public schools.
